AITA Holiday Gift Guide: Teroforma Whisky Stones
![]()
Teroforma Whisky Stones co-founder, Andrew Hellman, took inspiration from a bag of loose stones found in his Swedish grandfather’s liquor cabinet. The stones were used to cool “neat” drinks just enough, without diluting the spirits in the process. Whisky Stones are an American interpretation of the centuries-old Scandinavian tradition.
Over 150 years ago, local Vermonters began mining and milling soapstone found in their fields for a variety of purposes. At Vermont Soapstone, the oldest soapstone workshop in the US, many of the original techniques are still in use today.
Add three chilled stones to your next dram of ROOT, let stand for 5 minutes and enjoy!
