Jimmy Baker
Jimmy Baker lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jimmy Baker received his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design in 1998. He proceeded directly to graduate school at DAAP where he finished his MFA work in 2002. Immediately following grad school, Baker landed a group show at Foxy Production in New York. Baker has expanded his range of output across music and performance collaborations as well as gallery shows. The Los Angeles Times featured one of his paintings in the survey essay The Art Explosion. Recently the L Magazine and K48 have also featured his work and writings. Baker had consistently shown in New York and Los Angeles for the last two years, which led to his first NY solo show at Foxy Production last December. Baker’s debut solo show in Los Angeles, at Roberts and Tilton opened this June. Seven of his recent works were obtained by the Anita Zabludowicz Art Trust in London, along with other collections in NY, LA, and Belgium.
