Lori Damiano
Lori D. is a handmaker. Some things she makes with her hands are paintings, animations, zines, films, quilts, books, miniature sweaters, and pies. She has a BA in film/video from UCSD and an MFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts. As part of the collective 'Villa Villa Cola', Lori D. helped to create 'Getting Nowhere Faster', the first widely distributed skateboard video featuring the secret shred society of female skateboarders. Lori D. has a monthly column called 'The Learnings of' in The Skateboard Mag. She teaches animation at the California State Summer School for the Arts and is currently working on her own gigantic animation project to be released in 2008.
