ROOT @ The Common's Gallery Kick Off Party in San Francisco!
At Art in the Age we have been fans of The Common for sometime now, so when they phoned us about the grand opening of their gallery space we knew we couldn’t miss it.
The Common is a production of the Durable Goods Concern and Taylor Stitch and has been a labor of love for owners Barrett Purdum, Michael Armenta, and Michael Maher since opening in late October.
Our common thread so to speak, comes from our admiration for traditional craftsmanship and do-it-yourself initiatives. In addition to their newly opened gallery, the space also serves as a men’s and women’s clothing boutique and the Four Barrel Coffee shop.
The gallery opening celebration kicked off this past Friday and featured new artwork from Justin Olerud’s Dreaming in California, live music and of course hand crafted cocktails! ROOT and ginger beer and ROOT-beer floats were served throughout the evening and met with rave reviews.
Be sure to stop by The Common located at 1077 Mission Street in San Francisco, CA 94103!
