Roy Miranda

Roy Miranda was formed in the lower deserts of Arizona by a spiritual cactus and a Mexican coyote. The year was 1974. As a boy, Roy was raised on the edge of Phoenix, where the suburbs meet the desert. At a young age, he became enthralled with the haunting drawings of his late father, who like Roy was also a self-taught artist. As a teen, Roy became involved with rebellious movements such as skateboarding, psychedelic visuals, and Bob Seger. Around this time, his artistic talents began to mature resulting in opportunities to design graphics for major companies like Balance Skateboards, Toy Machine, Urban Outfitters, and Tower Records. In 2001, Roy moved to Philadelphia to follow a love interest which tragically left him heartbroken and pushed him into a three year drunken bender, which we will call his “dark years”. During this time, he has continued to show his art work in various galleries from New York to Miami while taking advantage of young girls along the way. Roy continues to pursue a career in fine arts, using his everyday experiences as inspiration all while managing to stay true to his blue collar roots. Nowadays you can find Roy in his South Philly bedroom studio, anywhere there is an open bar, riding his bike home at 6 in the morning from a drug party, or asking young girls to marry him in a blacked out state of mind. Roy Miranda is half Mexican.

To All My Friends

To all my friends. Roy Miranda was inspired by the movie Barfly, which was inspired by the life of Charles Bukowski, to create a graphic round of drinks for all his favorite drunks. Wear this shirt and you too can be a diamond in the rough.
