60th Annual Kutztown Folk Festival

You have until Sunday to visit America’s oldest continuously operated folklife festival!

With everything from 19th century crafts and foods to historical reenactments and authentic American Folk music, the Kutztown Folk Festival provides an opportunity to observe and participate in early Pennsylvanian life. They even roast a 1,200-pound ox over hot coals every year!

Best of all, they have countless interesting ROOT mixers, like sarsaparilla, black cherry soda, and red cream soda. Or if you’re not very confident in your mixological skills, you can still take your ROOT N’ Birch to a new level with some old fashioned, homemade Pennsylvanian root beer or birch beer. You can even watch your birch beer being made at the Old Barto Birch Distillery.
