Daniel Stern To Tackle Pennsylvania Dutch Cuisine
As former executive chef at Le Bec Fin and chef/owner of Gayle, Daniel Stern’s already seen his share of success in the city of brotherly love. Now he’s making headlines for his plans to open two new restaurants in Philly.
The first is basically Rae in a new location. Dubbed R2L, the restaurant will sit on the 37th floor at Two Liberty Place and feature 40-mile panoramic views.
The second, which we’re super excited about, will be situated in the Science Center at 3711 Market. So why all the fuss? “MidAtlantic will celebrate the intersection of the region’s Pennsylvania Dutch cooking and the produce market stalls that ran from the top of Market Street to the banks of the Delaware River in the 1700s. The restaurant will feature live music Thursday-Sunday evenings.”
As if that’s not reason enough to pay MidAtlantic a visit when it opens this fall, rumor has it that ROOT might be making an appearance on the cocktail menu! Stay tuned for updates over the next couple months.
