Don’t Miss: “A History of Taxidermy” – Wagner Free Institute of Science
It is no secret that Art in the Age loves a good taxidermist. You can imagine our excitement when we found out about Dr. Pat Morris’ upcoming lecture, “A History of Taxidermy” at the Wagner Free institute of Science.
The British mammal ecologist and retired professor will offer a rare glimpse into the captivating world of modern taxidermy and share his insight about why we are so fascinated by the real-life stuffed animals. The lecture will cover an amusing variety of applications such as hunting trophies, stuffed pets, and animal furniture. The art of taxidermy draws on many talents including that of sculpture, painting and drawing. Wagner Free Institute of Science offers the longest standing program devoted to free adult education in the United States and will host the event free of charge.
Wednesday, April 7th , Lecture Begins at 5:30 pm!
