FEBRUARY CONTEST: Win Limited Edition Lincoln Merch!
SIGN UP FOR THE MAILING LIST (top left of this page) during the month of February for your chance to win a set of limited edition Abe Lincoln merchandise, created from images found in the archives of The Historical Society of Pennsylvania!
The set includes:
- SILKSCREENED POSTER: Allegorical Portrait of Abe Lincoln (full-text of the Emancipation Proclamation – how cool is that?!) The original was drawn with steel pen by R. Morris Swander and engraved by P.S. Duval & Sons of Philadelphia in 1865.
- THE ASSASSINATION OF LINCOLN POSTCARD. This image is a reproduction of a color lithograph, depicting Lincoln’s assassination at Ford’s Theatre. It was originally published by A. Pharazyn at 229 South Street in Phialdelphia, circa 1865.
- M/W CAMEO T-SHIRT. The text, “THO’ DEAD, HE LIVETH,” comes from a lithograph poster by H.G. Leisenring’s Steam-Power Printing House at Jayne’s Building, 237 and 239 Dock Street, Philadelphia, circa 1865.
One male and one female winner will be randomly selected on February 28. Good luck…and Happy 200th Birthday, Abe!
