FRIDAY @ Space 1026: AJ Fosik & Andrew Schoultz!
Possibly (like me) on ACTUAL First Friday, you kept your sweatsuit/pajamas on and stayed right where you were seated since Christmas…the couch. If this was indeed the case, you have another chance to redeem yourself and shake that nasty word…”philistine, philistine…”…that you keep hearing in your head.
This Friday, January 9 from 7 until 10 pm, Space 1026 hosts New Ancient Structures, a collaborative, gallery-size installation by AJ Fosik and Andrew Schoultz.
This will be the first Philadelphia show for AJ Fosik, a San Francisco-based painter. Andrew Schoultz is a Philly-based sculpture/installation artist. Both artists have shown both in the US and abroad.
Judging solely on their previous work, I anticipate this exhibition to be extremely rich, both in color and form. Both artists utilize bold patterning and repeated geometries on both planar and dimensional surfaces. The combined energies of Fosik and Schoultz will surely produce a visual experience worth your Friday night!
