Go Outside! It’s Clean Air Month & Walk In The Woods Month
The forecast tells me that today will be 80 degrees. There is absolutely no excuse to not be outside! Breathing in the sweet spring air and seeking shade under the tall trees is a wonderful rite of warmer, seasonal changes, and certainly something easily taken for granted…
So it’s perfect that May is Clean Air Month and Walk In The Woods Month!
The Tree Council (UK-based) encourages everyone to get outside and enjoy the forests near or far from one’s home. They also encourage anyone who has recently planted a tree to give it a little TLC (weeding, mulching, checking ties). Check out their event poster below…
In addition to breathing fresh air, Clean Air Month (May) is also a great time to become informed and spread awareness about the worsening state of smog and particle air pollution all over the nation. Did you know that 60% of Americans live in a “polluted” air area? Do your part this month: cut down on car trips, turn off your lights when you leave a room, and stop buying aerosol cans!
