“Got ROOT?”
Looking for love? Companionship? Tasty ROOT cocktails and engaging conversation? While we can’t help you with the first two, we can certainly point you toward the third. But you don’t need our help! One enterprising Philadelphian has already taken matters into his own hands.
In a craigslist post titled “Got ROOT?” this fine gentleman wrote, “I’m planning on going to the ROOT Cocktail Competition at Silk City on Tuesday night (28th) and wouldn’t mind spending the evening with someone new. Bonus points if you can recommend some other interesting places to sample less-than-mainstream beverages that night… I’d also like to visit APO and Time, so if you are familiar with those venues, that would be cool. Basically looking for a drinking buddy here, someone fun and flirty and fairly attractive. NOT looking for someone just out to get smashed on someone else’s dime, or someone that might be mistaken for my daughter. Reply back with a few witty lines, a brief description, and perhaps a recent photo and I’ll respond in kind.”
Don’t worry if, like me, you don’t fit the description. You can still come out to Silk City this Tuesday and enjoy some tasty ROOT cocktails while watching Philadelphia’s best throw down in the Cocktail Competition!
