Hawk Krall: Prolific& Tee-riffic, New Works

Posted by robin on 07/24/2008

Hawk Krall, illustrator extraordinaire and designer of our Philly Grease-tastic Hawk Tee, has been hard at work, drawing up a veritable storm. Have a look-see at some of the latest...

1. Portraiture

Evan Wright...a commissioned portrait!

Wright is the author Generation Kill, a volume about his time spent as a journalist in Iraq during the 2003 US invasion. Now the book has been turned into an HBO miniseries on Sunday nights!

2. Obama-Rama!

From a series of illustrations for a new Philadelphia Weekly column, In Extremis, by Stephen Wells.

3. Convenience Store Comix

And last, but not least, a contribution to Danny Hellman's latest comic anthology, TYPHON Volume 1 (released in June). Krall's contribution, in his own words, is "a 6 page story...about working at 7-11, hanging out with meth heads and 50 year old ex prostitute phone sex women."
