In Memorium: Jay Reatard 1980-2010
As most of you already know, the talented Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr., better known as Jay Reatard, passed away last week at the young age of 29. Although we never officially had the chance to collaborate with him, (a t-shirt was in the works) we loved his music and greatly respected him as a true artist.
Jay was a rare breed. His music was not only instantly memorable, but it was also profound and powerful. It reminded us that honest, uninhibited music with real, wrought emotion and MEANING was still being created. We thank him for sharing it with us and we only wish he could have continued to create more.
To an artist who we have lost way too soon, rest in peace. You will be missed.
