Into the Country Bizarre

The Country Bizarre was an independent publication created by Andy Pittaway and Bernard Scofield in the early 70′s. Each issue featured original poetry, gardening advice, and outdoorsy how-to’s; not to mention some incredibly beautiful illustrations. Sadly, The Country Bizarre only had a short run, and original print copies have all but disappeared. Luckily for us, the fantastic blog Caught by the River has scanned and archived all eleven issues!  These guys were way ahead of their time, and the Country Bizarre seems as relevant today as it was forty years ago.
