A long time member of Space 1026, Isaac Lin has always challenged the possibilities inherent within imagery and the space it encompasses. From imaginative characters sometimes shared in good humor with collaborating artists to deconstructed music notes applied as abstracted patterns, his overall compositions always vibrate with brilliant sound and thoughtful contrast. Fleisher Ollman’s press release is as follows: “Alongside new prints, sculptures, and kinetic paintings that explode with layers of calligraphy, cartoons, color, and pattern, Lin presents a selection of elegant drawings on photographs made in collaboration with fellow artists. A limited edition zine of sketchbook drawings and photographs accompanies the exhibition.”
