Law & Order…& History: Sam Waterston Celebrates St. Peter’s 250th Anniversary!

The diction may seem clichéd…but I will be loud & proud, and make this statement, regardless…

HISTORY IS ALIVE IN PHILADELPHIA!

Seriously. We live in “The Cradle Of Liberty,” and should be proud of the stories in the cobblestones at 3rd and Walnut. We should know the struggles and victories behind the memorials Penn’s Landing. And we should care about the rich quiltwork of religious sects that intermingled in Philadelphia since the 1600s like “fish in the sea.” We must take this sort of eduction upon ourselves and support the institutions in Philadelphia who provide continuing opportunities to learn and enrich our personal knowledge base within our hustle-bustle, forward-thinking society. An example of such an institution is Saint Peter’s Church in Society Hill, which is a National Historic Landmark, and maintains both religious and historic collections. In May, the church will celebrate its highly anticipated 250th Anniversary!

More details…
