Mad Maude cooks up new coasters for Art in the Age!
For those who aren’t familiar with letterpress printing, it’s a traditional process of hand feeding a machine thick paper one by one with an inked raised metal plate or letter types to create a unique form of reproduction where the handmade aesthetic is key alongside its relief texture. Mad Maude, a letterpress studio formerly located in Philadelphia has re-established its print shop in Louisiana and recently produced new AITA Logo coasters to add to our collection of artisan products, many of which were printed by them with love (by love, we mean, the cutest Corgi in the world). These coasters will soon be available to purchase online and in our flagship store soon, so stay tuned!
A special thanks to owners, Ryan Howell and Leslie Graham for putting so much effort and care into them! See pictures below of what looks to be cookies (if you’re naturally hungry like me) but are actually coasters….
