Mittens, Kittens & Toolbelts: My Favorite Things (Tamworth Remix)

My Favorite Things

Rodgers & Hammerstein | Performed by Julie Andrews
(Robin McDowell Remix + Slideshow – 12.13.09)

——————

Snowdrifts on rooftops and whiskers on kittens,

Bright iron woodstoves and warm SmartWool mittens,

Sparse little Christmas trees held up with string,

These are a few of my favorite things.

——————

Fine leather toolbelts and lazy day doodles,

Chain saws and hand saws and ROOT with my noodles.

Wild birds on roadsides just flapping their wings.

These are a few of my favorite things

——————

Dudes in ripped Carhartts and snowmobile crashes,

Dry heat indoors causing various rashes,

Silvery ice ponds and townsfolk who sing,

These are a few of my favorite things.

——————

When the limb falls, when the car skids,

When my skin is drab,

I have to remember my favorite things,

And winter will be…SO RAD!

watch out when using a chain saw. don't cut towards yourself. Especially important when Boston is the first really good hospital for microsurgery. Wear steel tipped boots and lined chaps. A pair of ear protectors with a screen in front of your eyes wouldn't hurt either.

I've been heating with a wood stove for 25 years. A Jotul 3cb for the past 10. Love this site. wb

This is a interesting site. I like those pictures very much. Some of them are simply excellent.
