MUSIC VIDEO: Black Mold (Chad Vangaalen) - “Metal Spiderwebs”
As you may or may not have noticed we curate the best in animated + artistic music videos here on the AITA blog, and this one from multi-talented artist and musician Chad VanGaalen may be the best of the best. VanGaalen’s side-project Black Mold is a departure from the music he creates under his own name. This song, for example, is instrumental, sparse and more challenging. However, the one thing that rings true in both cases is VanGaalen’s own artwork and animation for all of his videos. This one may be my favorite thus far, with the exception of this one. It has a “sketchbook-come-to-life” concept that adds even more dimension to his stunning illustrations. Lookie:
