ADVENTURES IN ALBUM ART: Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavillion

Here at AITA we are definitely stoked about Animal Collective‘s newest release Merriweather Post Pavillion. The Baltimore band has always wrapped their experimental and often bizarre music with interesting artwork, but their newest album cover goes right for the optical…illusion that is. I’m not sure who created this image and I am pretty sure I have seen it before (what isnt re-purposed these days?), but it definitely fits the AC sound, especially that of the new album.
