October- Full of Events at AITA

October is bring the change of seasons, weather and the beautiful colors in the trees but for Art in the Age  it is bringing great events.

October First Friday

10/2/09 @ the Art in the Age Store |  6pm-8pm
Art in the Age presents a group show to celebrate Edgar Allan Poe’s 200th birthday. This exhibition brings together selected artwork inspired by Poe’s famous literary works such as “The Raven,” “The Pit and the Pendulum” and “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Participating artists were chosen based on their creative interpretations of Poe’s portrait and their ability to render his sense of the macabre in various mediums.

Midtown Village Fall Fest

10/3/09 on the streets of 13th and Sansom  |  12pm-8pm
The Fourth Annual Fall Festival in Midtown Village. Live Music, Great Food, Amazing Beverages,Oktoberfest activities, Little Villagers area, Sumo Wrestling, and much much more. AITA will have a table featuring our wears, soaps, stationery and more right on 13th and Sansom St. 

Kennett Sq. fermentation Fest

10/9/09 @ Kennet Square, PA
 The 1st annual Fermentation Fest will take place next Saturday at the Kennett Square Farmers’ Market.  There will be several demonstrations from yogurt making tomato seed saving, herbal medicines and much more.  From 2-6 PM we will be sampling ROOT next to Victory Brewing Co., Twin Lakes Brewery and Stargazers Winery.  Make sure you stop by to see us and to hear the tunes of the Spinning Leaves and Hezekian Jones. 

Enchanted Evening w/ Talula’s Table

10/9/09 Kennet Square, PA  |  7PM
Dinner, music and dancing will take place at this fundraising dinner in Kennett Square.  Root will be accompanying the dessert portion of the evening and dinner will be prepared by Talua’s Table.  Tickets are available online or by phone. Check out their site for more info.

Blooming Glen Harvest Festival

10/10/09 @ the Blooming Glen Farm in Perkasie, PA  |  2pm-6pm
Come out and celebrate a bountiful harvest season at Blooming Glen Farm. Harvest Festival will be from 2 until 5, followed by a potluck ’til dark. Enjoy live music, local vendors, hayrides, face painting, scarecrow making, relay races, pumpkin decorating, a raffle with fantastic prizes and a delicious potluck at dusk. And YES Art in the Age will be there.

Poe’s Ghosts
