PA Dutch Festival: Come and Gone

Beautiful weather arrived alongside the horses and buggies last Thursday for the 20th annual Pennsylvania Dutch Festival. While farm animals and bluegrass music filled the 1100 block of Arch Street, and a horse-drawn hay ride circled outside, inside the hustle and bustle continued. Different vendors were offering fresh-squeezed lemonade, honeys and jams, quilts and woodcraft, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken pot pie, ice cream in freshly made waffle cones, doughnuts, fudge, and more. In fact, the only thing I didn’t see was shoofly pie, but I probably just needed to look harder!
