Painting With Bourbon

A curious exhibition opened yesterday in London’s Seventeen Gallery. It’s called Bourbon Joy and it’s by artists Mike Harte and Jamie Shovlin.

Mike and Jamie have spent the last seven days living in the basement of Seventeen Gallery and drinking a different bottle of bourbon each night. For every bottle drank, Mike, using the very bourbon he’s consumed, painted a sigle painting of the word Joy. The basement has remained untouched since Mike and Jamie occupied it, so on top of seeing the seven different paintings of Joy, you also get to witness the drunken mess they left behind.
