Pharmer’s Almanac

The sun was out this morning for the first time in many, so I immediately knew I would be wearing a pair of creamy butter-colored flat boots around town today.
My next thought was coffee, and my third was…well, what to wear (weather-minded) with my boots.

I had the ingenious notion to check the Farmer’s Almanac, as nothing in my closet was overly-inspiring.
Aside from alerting me that there are 71 days remaining until Spring (!) it helped me determine what to pair with my loefflers…

Today’s forecast reads: A mix of clouds and sun. Temps nearly steady in the mid to upper 30s. Winds WSW at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

And apparently, I have some days this weekend to get my hands dirty:
Thursday the 8th: an ideal day to set chicken eggs
Saturday the 10th: above ground crops planted today will grow solidly

Luckily, H. Fredriksson’s boiled wool blazers are marked at 25% off at the store. How perfect would one look over a plaid button down, ratty jeans and wellies for my garden work
(or, realistically a day at the Art in the Age office)
Then later, paired over a printed blouse, full skirt, and flat boots topped with a nubby hat to meet for drinks across town…
