PHOTO TOUR: The Gilman Forest - Tamworth, NH
Invigorating news to report! 68% of the fundraising goal for The Gilman Forest Preservation Project, undertaken by the Tamworth Conservation Commission, has been reached! The Commission is more than halfway to the final goal of purchasing this parcel of land as part of the WOW (Whites to Ossipees Wildlife Initiative) Project. WOW aims to make safe small mammal passage grounds between the two mountain ranges that border Tamworth by purchasing land in this crucial corridor and/or urging current landowners to apply Conservation Easements to their properties.
A few weeks ago (sorry so tardy in uploading these!), I had the honor and pleasure to embark upon a guided tour of the Gilman Forest property.
