New ROOT Recipe – Pioneer Spirit
We caught wind that the folks at The Liberty Glass have tried ROOT and crafted a tasty new cocktail. We thought we would share it with you so you could add it to your own must try ROOT recipes.
Pioneer Spirit
-2 ounces Root
-1 tsp. vanilla Stoli
-1 count Broker’s Whiskey
-A dash of Angostura bitters
-Serve over ice with a splash of soda
-Garnish with a cinnamon dusted orange wedge
The Liberty Glass in Portland is owned by brother and sister team Jason and Rose McCormick. Jason’s a musician, Rose is an artist. They hail from Ohio, hence the huge ear of corn tattooed on Rose’s forearm (from the Midwest, gotta represent…). There’s a cool front porch where Rose’s three-legged dog, Otis, holds court. Everything’s served on those blue tin plates that are made for camping.
