The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm Presents “Art of Homesteading” in June!

Attn: Tamworth-ians, New Hampshire-ites, and New Englanders! Join the Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm on June 16 from 5-7 pm for the opening ceremony for their new exhibit, Art of Homesteading. The exhibition centers around a large donation of antique tools from Bob Temple of Jackson, NH and Joe Parks of Dover, NH. These antiques were once used by New England craftspeople in the traditions that settled the rural countryside of our nation.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is at 5pm, followed by a staff-guided visit this year’s new farm animals. At 6pm, hors d’oeuvres will be served as guests enjoy a behind-the-scenes viewing of the making of the Art of Homesteading exhibit.

Later this summer (August 14), look forward to an on-site auction of used farm equipment, antique furniture, domestic objects and gently used modern items: Preview 8:30-9am, Auction 9-11am. This event will be followed by the Art of Homesteading Fair, where you can try your hand homesteading skills like stenciling, faux graining, and furniture restoration! The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm is located at 58 Cleveland Hill Road in Tamworth Village. No admission charge from 5-7pm on the day of the ceremony.
