We hold these truths to be self evident……
If you’d like to hear what comes next, join the National Park Service tomorrow in celebration of the 234th anniversary of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence. The first public reading of the Declaration of Independence occurred at high noon on July 8, 1776, in the Old State House yard in Philadelphia (what is now Independence Hall). Activities will begin on Independence Square at 11:30 am with Colonel John Nixon reading the Declaration at Noon. Declare your Allegiance to the newly established United States of America or Declare your Loyalty to the British Crown.
Afterwords, swing by the Art in the Age store at 116 N. 3rd Street to check out our latest exhibition.
