WE WANT YOU: To Help Change The American Automobile Industry, 50 Miles At A Time

It’s short notice, but we would like to draw your attention to a very determined individual who NEEDS YOUR ASSISTANCE in order to embark upon a very worthy, very cool journey…

Scott Fredette, a film director for the motion design/production studio, Lightborne, is proposing an epic adventure. It will begin with the purchase of a custom built electric car on eBay. Scott will travel by bus to Texas to pick it up. Then, 50 miles at a time (distance the car can travel before recharging is required), he will drive it back North!

The Fun Part: Scott and a film crew will document the entire process, from pick-up to coming home, and most importantly, what happens in between. Scott will enlist the help of strangers, friends, and supporters along the way to let him “plug-in”, every 50 miles. Scott says:

“Along the way, I will be seeing America, meeting its great people, and meeting specifically with oddballs. I will have meetings with people who support the green initiative. I will film the the ups and downs, the good and the bad with the only stipulation is that I am limited to 50 miles before I need to recharge. I will meet awesome people and film their reactions to this odd event.”

The Best Part: Scott is taking “a step in the right direction toward increasing awareness about the need and reality of electric vehicles.” As the government has just demonstrated that they can and will have a hand in the automotive industry, this is a chance not to just push back, but also to push for sustainable choices and solutions in a very positive, inspiring way.
