Kinfolk is a collaborative community of artists and writers who share a general interest in small gatherings, and a belief that entertaining should be: simple, uncomplicated, and less contrived.
Kinfolk combines beautiful photography with basic tips on sharing the joy of food with friends. The current issue is available for ipad readying, as well as a print edition.
Kinfolk has also posted a few videos, showcasing recipes that are classic, basic, and elegant.
We’d love to see how the folks at Kinfolk would use ROOT and SNAP at their next gathering!

At Art in the Age we believe that ROOT and SNAP are best when shared with friends. We’ve received some really excellent recipes through Facebook and Twitter, and would love to see more!
Share your favorite ROOT and SNAP recipes with us on Facebook and Twitter for a chance to be featured as our cocktail of the month. We’ll also be giving away some really great ROOT and SNAP prizes!
How to Submit Your Recipe:
On your Facebook wall, post a photo of a cocktail you’ve created or discovered, along with directions on how to prepare the drink. If you discovered the cocktail at a bar or restaurant, simply include the name of the restaurant and if possible the bartender.
Be sure to tag Art in the Age and yourself in the photo, and we will add your cocktail to our gallery!

Stop by 15 Romolo at 8PM on Monday, July 11th and witness the Bay area’s talented mixologists concoct original artisan cocktails featuring ROOT & SNAP spirits. Each handcrafted libation will be judged on Aroma, Taste, Originality and Presentation by a panel of local judges (including acclaimed mixologist Charlotte Voisey).
This event is open to the public, with RSVP, and will feature $4 signature ROOT & SNAP cocktails & complimentary hors d’oeuvres, served throughout the evening!

Greenpoint Open Studios is teaming up with L magazine this year to bring you NORTHSIDE OPEN STUDIOS, a four day event celebrating a burgeoning art scene in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. NOS is a collaborative effort between artists, organizations, businesses and volunteers to build a creative platform in which all members of the community can foster and contribute to a support system that encourages the sharing of ideas and relationships.
We’ll be serving ROOT and SNAP samples at the NOS events, so be sure to stop by show our support for this thriving art community.
