OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY & November First Friday – Opening Reception for "Impermanent Bliss"
November marks Art in the Age’s 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! And to show our appreciation we will be hosting yet another First Friday bash on Friday, November 6th, from 6-8 pm. To celebrate we will be serving our signature ROOT cocktails and will also be hosting a raffle for attendees. Some of our amazing brands have offered up some tip top merchandise to raffle off including:
Billy Kirk, Popomomo, Gitman Brothers, R5 Productions, NSF, Lauren Moffat, FeelGood, as well as some Art in the Age And ROOT prize packs!
This event will also be the opening reception for “Impermanent Bliss.”
Art in the Age presents a group exhibition featuring mixed media work by Eric Amling, Kirkland Bray and Matt LaFleur.
In Impermanent Bliss, mixed-media works by Eric Amling, Kirkland Bray and Matt LaFleur examine the fluctuating nature of memory and its effects on our ongoing sense of self and place. By manipulating and transforming man-made artifacts, the artists press the viewer to reexamine the identities of the familiar. We should be approaching our own memories with the same scrutiny that these works demand, as memory often distorts the places, events and emotional states of our past.
