ROOT Cocktail Competition at Silk City
Local celebrities and cocktail experts judge Philadelphia mixologist’s ROOT cocktail recipes.
The ROOT Cocktail Competition will be held on July 28th from 7pm-9pm at Silk City Garden bar 435 Spring Garden St. ( inside the lounge if rainy) with MC: MR. 10 Fingers. The event will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres and reduced price ($5) ROOT cocktails including a ROOT Blossom which is a take on a mojito.
The cocktails will be judged by a panel, including Philadelphia Magazine’s Victor Fiorillo, Southwark’s George Costa, World Renowned Sommelier Marnie Old, and FOOBOOZ Editor: Arthur Etchells, on taste, presentation and originality. The grand prize for the winning cocktail will include an Art in the Age Store (located at 116 N 3rd St) gift certificate for $400 and the winning recipe will be featured on http://www.artintheage.com.
