ROOT Tasting: The Homewood Museum's "Evening of Traditional Beverages" June 10th, 2011
June 10, 2011 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The Homewood Museum. Baltimore, MD
Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood Museum will feature ROOT as one of a select group of artisan craft spirits offered at their upcoming Evening of Traditional Beverages: Homegrown Spirits.
Discover how spirits were made 200 years ago from Dr. Dennis Pogue, chief historian at Mount Vernon where George Washington’s own spirit recipes have been recently re-created
ROOT will be featured along with liqueurs from like minded American micro-distillers, who are resurrecting pre-Prohibition traditional techniques and recipes using locally-sourced ingredients.
Enjoy craft spirits, cocktails, and appetizer pairings; bid on one-of-a-kind items in a silent auction, and meet and mingle with distillers. Proceeds will benefit Homewood Museum’s exhibitions and educational programming.
Due to event popularity and limited space, reservations are requested by June 8: purchase tickets online or call 410.516.5589.
