Close your eyes and have a listen to this beaut from a band that describes their music as “an assemblage of 21st century indie-rock vaudevillians writing songs about science and love, space and pain, babies and documents.” Yes!! Not only have Brooklyn’s The Lisps created a moody slice of Americana with “Brackish Water” but they have also penned a musical about a Civil War Union soldier/aspiring sci-fi writer entitled “Futurity” (their whole vibe fits nicely with our current Lincoln Exhibition!).
