In keeping the spirit of the print alive and as part of Philagrafika 2010 and the Southern Graphics Council Conference, Printeresting–a website dedicated to presenting manifestations of print across several media–is hosting Copy Jam! tonight at Art In The Age of Mechanical Reproduction.
It’s hard to keep everything straight with all these organization names relating to printmaking so here’s the deal: the event is happening tonight from 6-9pm at the aforementioned location, 50 artists will each have a piece on the wall, if you attend you get a ticket which entitles you to one black & white photocopy of the print of your choice. The catch? You only get one. Choose wisely. The price? FREE.
This is not an ongoing exhibition, it is one night only, so if you want a piece (or rather a photocopied representation) from one of the 50 artists listed here you shouldn’t miss this.
In print-related happenings for this evening, Space 1026 is having their closing reception for Separations Anxiety from 7-10pm. The exhibition serves as a sort of retrospective featuring work by many of the members from the expansive collective/art space. Tonight will be your final chance to check out the work from the show.
Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction is located at 116 N. 3rd Street and Space 1026 is at 1026 Arch Street.
