Just released in Oregon: Philly booze-maker Art in the Age’s ROOT, a heritage liqueur featuring a heady mix of baking spices, birch bark, smoke, and hints of citrus/mint, and based on an 18thC Pennsylvanian recipe that was the progenitor of root beer before the booze was taken out, making its Barq’s worse than its bite.
