ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COCKTAIL: SUB POP INSPIRED DRINK RECIPES
For our recent Sub Pop Records ART DEBT opening, we thought it only appropriate to serve cocktails inspired by a few of our favorite Sub Pop bands.
Below are the recipes for you to try at home! No flannel required!
THE IRON AND WINE (although Spodee isn’t an AITA product, it’s still damn good!)
- 2 parts Spodee
- 3 parts orange juice
- 1 part club soda
- orange wedges
- In a tall glass filled with ice, add the orange juice and club soda. Float Spodee on top and garnish with an over-sized orange wedge.
THE MUDHONEY
- 1 part ROOT
- 3 parts birch/root beer
- 3 dashes vanilla bitters
- In a tall glass filled with ice, add the ROOT and birch beer. Top with a few dashes of vanilla bitters.
THE SOUNDGARDEN
- 1 part RHUBARB
- 3 parts pineapple juice
- 1 part club soda
- fresh basil
- fresh lime
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, tear up 3 fresh basil leaves and add the RHUBARB and pineapple juice. Shake vigorously, and pour into a rocks glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with a sprig of basil and a slice of lime
THE NIRVANA
- 1 part SNAP
- 1 parts lemonade
- 1 part ginger beer
- 3 dashes citrus bitters
- fresh lemon
- In a tall glass filled with ice, add the SNAP, lemonade and ginger beer. Top with a few dashes of citrus bitters. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
