ROOT in VT: Photos from Yestermorrow Design/Build School's Art Auction
A lively Saturday evening was spent in Waitsfield/Warren, VT at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School, perusing an array of beautiful works in a most impressive and warm environment. The eclectic pieces by students, alumni, community members, and friends of the school were part of a silent and live auction, the 6th annual and the school’s largest event of the year!
The Yestermorrow Campus is quite a magical place…from what I could see in the evening, there were two buildings of radial design accentuated by great feats of wood-based decor, and interior beams of un-planed tree trunks. A flock of chickens were kept on campus, and utilities were super eco-friendly (there are 6 tracking solar panels and all paper products are compost-friendly, for example)
The ROOT gift pack contribution sparked lots of conversation with interesting new faces – students, interns, faculty, and friends. ROOT is now available in Vermont at any state liquor outlet! (There’s one right in Waitsfield, as a matter of fact!)
