Saint Valentine's Day

St. Valentines Day is upon us again.  This is the time to let loved ones know that you care.  Traditionally this is shared through gifts, letters, and flowers.

If you are looking for a Valentine’s gift that is a bit more unique than a heart shaped box of chewy chocolates and stuffed bears holding “I love you” hearts, than we have some solutions for you.

Our favorite combines flowers, letters and is a gift. It is the “Message in a Bottle Vase” by local designers Peg and Awl. The base is made from found wood from the 1800′s, the vials are ready to hold flowers, and one comes with a blank scroll to write a personal message to your lover.

If you want to stick with the traditional jewelry and perfume gift, but in a not so traditional way we have that too!

Pamela Love’s jewelry has a dark, romantic, earthy quality to it that will definitely get noticed.  These pieces are hand-crafted in NYC in silver. (And her last name’s Love, how perfect!)

We also have the CB I hate Perfume in not so traditional scents like Burning Leaves, In the Library, and Russian Caravan.

MCMC Fragrances has also made a beautiful scent named Humanity that comes in a hand-blown glass bottle of an anatomical heart. Plus all proceeds go to the Trust Art fund in Brooklyn, so your heart will feel good too!

If you can’t find the right words, or better yet, feel the only way to express the enormity of your love would be to write it across the side of a building, but don’t want to risk the possibility of jail time, then check out Steve Powers “A Love Letter for You”. (He does all of the risking and writing.)
