ROOT Recipe of the Week: Bomba Shack

Lauren Phillips of Alfa Bar and Restaurant created this delish ROOT cocktail for the competition at Silk City.

The Bomba Shack wil now be part of the first course pairing at the ROOT Tasting Dinner coming up at ALFA. It is paired with Sweet Corn and Lobster Summer Soup — Wynnorr Farm Sweet Corn, Vanilla/ROOT infusion garnished with Lobster Salad and ROOT Syrup. $35 for 5 mini courses by Chef Sean Ford; all courses incorporate Root; each course paired with Root signature cocktails. You can also stop by for late night happy hour 10pm-12am $5 Root cocktails.

Here’s how to make the “Bomba Shack”:

1 1/2 oz ROOT
1/2 oz spiced rum
1 oz Creme Coconut
Pineapple juice
1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
Fresh nutmeg

Shake all ingredients and pour into a Hurricane glass. Top with a dash more fresh nutmeg and garnish with an umbrella.

This recipe will be featured at the ROOT Tasting Dinner at Alfa on Aug. 25th – along with several other ROOT cocktails and ROOT infused dishes.
