Introducing RHUBY, A New Spirit from Art in the Age

Like ROOT and SNAP, RHUBY is based on a centuries old Pennsylvania recipe and is totally unique in the marketplace. There has never been anything like it…at least not since 1771. This is the year Ben Franklin sent John Bartram America’s first rhubarb seeds. Bartram proceeded to make a delicious garden tea with rhubarb, beets, carrots, lemon, petitgrain, cardamom, pink peppercorn, coriander, vanilla, and pure cane sugar. We took this recipe and turned it into a spirit!

There are as many ways to enjoy Rhuby as there are vegetables in a summer garden. Below are a few recipes to help you get started experimenting on your own. Enjoy!
2 parts RHUBY
4 parts red
grapefruit juice
dash of vanilla extract
grapefruit slices
Chill all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a martini glass, float a slice of grapefruit on top.
2 parts RHUBY
spring herbs*
1 teaspoon honey
dash of bitters
tonic water
lemon slices
In a highball glass, muddle the leaves of a couple herb sprigs with honey and ice.
Add RHUBY and a dash of bitters.
Top with tonic water and slice of lemon.
*mint, thyme, dill, basil, lavender
2 parts RHUBY
2 parts blackberries
basil
sparkling lemonade
In a rocks glass, muddle blackberries, a couple basil leaves and RHUBY. Add ice and top with sparkling lemonade. Stir to combine.
2 parts RHUBY
2 parts strawberries
dash of rose water
club soda
Muddle strawberries, RHUBY
and rose water in a tall glass.
Add ice and club soda.
