Recently posted by Austin 360 as part of their On the Road: San Francisco feature, this ROOT cocktail has been described as “America in a glass”. Similar to a traditional Old Fashioned, but with a deeper body and more diverse range of flavors.
The Buffalo Nickel
3 parts Buffalo Trace
1 part ROOT
1 part ginger syrup
1 dash each orange bitters, angostura bitters, coffee tincture
Lightly shake or vigorously stir. Served on the rocks with fresh grated cinnamon and an orange peel.
