Local Taxidermist Beth Beverly Wins Best in Show
If you have been following Art in the Age for a while you know how deep our love goes for artist Beth Beverly. As a matter of a fact, this time last year Beth had her exhibition with Art in the Age called “Standstill” which was breathtaking. She is a one-of-a-kind lady with a contagious smile and excellent jokes. Every time she graces us with a glimpse of a new project or idea she is working on we get giddy. To say we fawn over her is an understatement and we never cease to be impressed.
Last week, Beth attended the Fifth Annual Carnivorous Nights TAXIDERMY CONTEST in Brooklyn, New York with her work in hand. Our lovely lady won BEST IN SHOW for her piece titled “Elke 2.0″! And of course, she has been receiving some impressive attention including The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Don’t miss her workshop next week at Art in the Age in which we will be constructing fur ornaments!
